Alex Wood (He/Him/His)

Bay Area Community Resources

Program Manager

Alex joined the team at BACR in May 2022 with a passion for the environmental field and a newfound interest in workforce development. After graduating from Santa Clara University with a B.S. in Marketing and a minor in Spanish, Alex spent a year at the City of San Rafael as a Climate Corps Fellow and was tasked with implementing new recycling initiatives in response to state legislation. He then joined a land trust in Carmel Valley, supporting native habitat restoration and wildfire resilience across 18,000 protected acres. At the end of 2020, Alex moved to Southern California to pursue his dream of working in agriculture and climate-smart coffee production. As Postharvest Manager at FRINJ Coffee, he coordinated with coffee farms north of Los Angeles to direct all postharvest processing. The common thread between his time in waste management, conservation, and agriculture was a love for the teams that make it all happen and supporting people in their roles. Alex is thrilled to be a part of California Climate Action Corps and help build a culture of climate volunteerism across the state.
