Jalen Choy is a Sr. Project Coordinator with The Energy Coalition (TEC) based out of their Oakland office. At TEC he supports public agencies identify and pursue energy efficiency projects through TEC’s energy services. Additionally, he supports the Education and Workforce Development team as a Regional Supervisor for the California Climate Action Corps Fellowship Program and also provides educator support specifically in the Redding, CA area. He is also involved in the Bassett Avocado Advanced Energy Community by supporting the Clean Commuters initiative in bringing clean transportation services to the defined community. Lastly, he supports the Public Power-Up program in giving financial and project delivery assistance to public agencies hoping to secure Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment at their facilities. Prior to joining TEC, Jalen served as an Energy Specialist for the Rising Sun Center for Opportunity as well as a year with the Climate Corps AmeriCorps program. He received his B.A. in Environmental Studies with a minor in Religious studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2020. Outside of work, he likes to play basketball, exercise, make music, and have good times with good people.
