Jessica Watson joins the team as the Operations Director for the National Service Department at Bay Area Community Resources. She is from San Jose and moved to the East Bay for school, and has resided in Oakland for the last 10 years. She loves telling her family in San Jose about the work CCAC is doing and her father has utilized services from some of our sites. After earning her B.A. in Social Welfare from University of California, Berkeley, Jessica served as an AmeriCorps member for two years with Super Stars Literacy, a K-3 literacy intervention program, and then went on to work at Oakland Unified, Girls Inc. of Alameda County, and for Bay Area Community Resources supervising AmeriCorps members before entering her current role. Her professional background is in after school programming, literacy, AmeriCorps, and providing professional development to other youth-serving professionals. Jessica enjoys going to the farmer's market, playing tennis, reading the news, and taking care of her pet rabbit.
