Tara is an accomplished Program Coordinator with Bay Area Community Resources with an operations and marketing background and over a decade of program management experience. She graduated from the State University of New York with a BA in Anthropology and Environmental Studies and has received certificate degrees from Cal State and SFSU in marketing and project management. Tara began her career with 2 years of service as an AmeriCorps VISTA developing initiatives to support at-risk youth through education-based volunteer programs and recruiting, training, and managing 7,000+ volunteers to install solar for low-income homeowners. Most recently, she led US operational support for the assembly and launch of the world’s largest ocean cleaning systems with The Ocean Cleanup. Tara is excited to bring her diverse background to support the California Climate Action Corps in advancing climate action and sustainability programs while accelerating our goal of building a more sustainable, resilient, and equitable world.
