Tia first worked for BACR as an After School Program Director for a few years in 2018 and decided to come back in August 2023 as a Program Coordinator. Tia is an Oakland native who is passionate about making a change in her community. She graduated from San Jose State University in 2017 with a Nutritional Science degree. For the past 8 years, she has spent time working in administration for the City of Oakland Parks and Recreation, City of Emeryville, East bay Regional Park District, Boys and Girls Clubs of San Francisco, and many other Bay Area organizations. Outside of her work she does, she is a mom to a 14-month old boy and enjoys going to gym for kick boxing and weight training. Tia is looking forward to her new role supporting the California Climate Action Corps!
